Islands -- Return to the Sea
Featuring ex-members of The Unicorns. Expect quarky, catchy pop along the lines of Architecture in Helsinki. Try 1, 4, 7, or 8.

The Dagons -- Reverse
Lo-Fi indie pop for fans of Beat Happening, Ravonettes or Sons & Daughters. Play 4, 8, 2, 1, or 7.

Quasi -- When the Going Gets Dark
Straightforward and rich sounding return for this indie rock/pop duo. If you like pavement or Sleater Kinney then try 1, 6 or 9 and go from there.

Ambulance LTD -- New English EP
Indie rock with frequent bluesey moments that should appeal to fans of Helio Sequence or Secret Machines. Play 5, 4 or 3 (a Pink Floyd cover)

Wizardzz -- Hidden City Taurmond
Lightning Bolt bassist is one half of this instrumental prog-pop project. Play 14, 12, 3, 4 or 5 if you enjoy Genesis, The Advantage, Lightning Bolt.

Witch -- Self-Titled
Fuzzy stoner rock featuring members of Dinosaur Jr. and Feathers that willkeep your intrest. Start with 1, 2, 6 or 3 if you like Black Sabbath, Dead Meadow.

Hank Williams III -- Straight to Hell
Outlaw country royalty carries the torch of traditional country with a vicious sneer (in addition to a stash of pot and booze). As Hank III says a number of times on this album "pop country sucks". This is the edited version that Curb made with beeped profanity and two songs completely removed...Hank III is not pleased with Curb about it. Fans of Hank Williams Sr., Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash or Rev. Horton Heat should start with 1, 9, 10, 4, 2 or 7 on disc one. Track 1 on disc two is also worth a spin, and the truely daring can try the 42 minute sound collage at track 2.

Wooden Wand & the Vanishing Voice -- Gipsy Freedom
It has been two months or so, time for another album from this uber-prolific band of freak folkers. Play 3, 5, 6 or 7 if you like SOnic Youth or Cherebus Shoal.

New singles from the lovely Swedes. Fans of Rilo Kiley or Heikki should try 1, 2 or 3.

Pants Yell! -- recent drama
Light and Catchy taking indie-pop back to it's 80s roots. Play 1, 3, 7 or 5 if you enjoy Belle & Sebastian, Go-Betweens or Jonathan Richman.

Mudhoney -- Under a Billion Suns
90s Grunge rockers return with a fresh album for those missing Flannel Shirts, Nirvana and Sinic Youth (oh wait Sonic Youth is still around) Try 2, 1, 10 or 5.

Kudu -- Death of the party
Poppie dance music that is like a cross between Annie and the B-52s. Try 1, 3, 5 or 7.

The Pope -- Ascendo Tumm!
Abrasive rock duo with a punk asthetic from Los Angeles. Lightning Bolt afficianodoes should try 1, 3, 5 or 6.

Anti-Flag -- For Blood and Empire
Major label debut for Philly ex-street punks. Same political dissent with a poppier sound a major label money. Servo hates them for selling out and sucking and all that. Play 2, 12, 10, or 11 if you like Unseen, Cock Sparrer or Ann Beretta.

Ghostigital -- In Cod We Trust
Einar Orn of The Sugarcubes teams up with some respectable guests to make an album that combines elements of Grime, Noise and industrial among things. Very interesting, very good. Start with 7, 5, 8, or 10.


Loud Rock

Kill The Client -- Escalation of Hostility
Grindcore that picks up where their previous album left off. For fans of Napalm Death, Brutal Truth etc. Play 7, 8, 2 or 5.

Crowpath -- Son of Sulpher
Back with sharpened knives! Jagged technical guitarwork with abrasive modern death. Play 2, 5, 9 or 6 if you enjoy the soothing sounds of Converge or Drowningman.

As I Lay Dying -- The Darkest Nights (remix)
Fans of At the Gates, In Flames or Still remains may enjoy this remixed single to hype up summer touring season.

I meant to have the new Built to Spill back for adding this weekend, but I didn't realize that mr seitz was going to add records. You aren't missing much anyhow, it's REALLY BORING, except for that song we got as a single, which kind of kicks ass.

You could always put it in the spot of the single and I can bring a double disc case next weekend and put them together. Or make them wait...makes no difference to me. Kind of a bummer that it is a boring album.
