Heavy Rotation

Built to Spill -- Conventinal Wisdom (single)
First single from the forthcoming album "You in Reverse". Somehow Built to Spill has managed to stay on Warner Brothers for almost 10 years. In this day and age that is a considerable accomplishment for a band that isn't all that commercial radio friendly (The Flaming Lips being the only others to come to mind). This contains the album version as well as the half length edit. For fans of Grandaddy, Pavement, Sebadoh etc. Play 1 or 2.

Centro-Matic -- Fort Recovery
Will Johnson's raspy vocals anchor this dark and textured lo-fi indie rock outfit out of Denton, Texas. Play 2, 4, 7, 12 or 3 if you like Crooked Fingers, Pavement, Guided By Voices, Neil Young, Wilco or Built to Spill.

HipHop

Jel -- WMD / All Around 12" - EP
Producer Jel (of 13 & God, Subtle) gives a taste of a forthcoming full length. Political Undergound HipHop with some unique beats...the usual for Anticon records really. The remix of WMD contains a sample from Black Sabbath's 'War Pigs'. If you dig Pedestrian, Odd Nosdam, or Doseone then start with 1, 3 or 4.
